Seems ppl would have questions in their head such as "Wtf would i wanna corrupt my pdf file?" , "I dont wanna to corrupt it, i wanna fix the corrupted pdf!"

Answers
"I dont wanna to corrupt it, i wanna fix the corrupted pdf!"
-u come to the wrong post, dude.

"Wtf would i wanna corrupt my pdf file?"
-not just yours, you can corrupt other's too. see the picture now?

I posted this tutorial because i did this yesterday, my lecturer asked me to send my thesis in pdf file, well of course my thesis still incomplete, suppose to submit it yesterday. so i decided to 'fake' or 'corrupt' a pdf file and submit it to my lecturer. why? the reason is pretty simple.

-she asked me to send a pdf file of my thesis
>> sent. but she didnt say "not corrupted"
>> so, by right, i did sent my thesis, but eventually during the burning to CD process, something bad happen and corrupted that pdf file. so i have two days to send another copy (which means i have two days extra to complete my thesis.)

so,end of story, lets go straight to the tutorial.

its pretty simple.

choose a pdf file.

make a backup (in case u need it)

right-click on it

open with......

choose "notepad"

it will be a bit laggy, especially if the pdf file size is big.

just wait until the notepad fully loaded and with massive unknown commands and characters

select 7-8lines of the commands and characters (i selected half of the page.)

delete the selection.

save

open the pdf file.

voila!!! it is corrupted.

u can try to do this with a cool way,

open the pdf file with a binary editor

search the bookmark /root

replace the value with '00'

REMEMBER:
dont do the same gag twice. which means, in my case, i just did this trick to that lecturer once, and wont repeat it, so i wont blew my bluff. if u wanna to trick again, do the other gag such as "assignment with virus embedded" so every pc that opens ur files will shutdown/restart/hangs over and over again

The following is a list of some types of software that I don't recommend you use:

Disk Compression Utilities
Programs that make more free space on your hard drive by compressing the data can reduce the overall system performance, and in some cases cause loss of all your data.

RAM Doublers
Programs that claim to increase the amount of memory in your computer DO NOT WORK. They slow the computer, and in some cases will cause the computer to become unstable or crash.

Speed Enhancers
Programs that claim to increase the speed of your computer or it's sub systems, such as; CD-ROM drive, Hard drive, etc. Most of these utilities are, at best, of minimal help, and in most cases will actually reduce the overall performance of your computer.

Computer Diagnostic or Repair Programs
Programs or utilities that claim to diagnose or repair problems with your computer are generally more trouble than they are worth. Find a competent computer professional and have them fix your computer.

Cutesy little screen things
Many times a well-meaning friend will email you an attachment, or a link to a web page, that has some little screen animation novelty, that causes gremlins, rabbits, or some other nonsense to hop, crawl, or move around on your screen. Don't download or install these little novelty programs. There are several reasons not to bother with these things:

1. The fun goes away fast, but the program may not. Many of these novelties are easy to install but exceedingly hard to remove from your computer.

2. Most are so poorly crafted that they pose a crash hazard to your computer. They may work just fine on Aunt Martha's computer but can cause instability problems when installed on another machine.

3. Some may contain a virus. For a few minutes of animated fun on your computer screen you may pay the price of a virus that can destroy all the programs and data on your computer. Is five minutes of dubious entertainment worth the risk.

Error 80244019

When Updating Windows VistaA machine one could not run Windows Update and complete an update of Windows Vista. Every time the update would fail with Error 80244019. This error message indicates there is a problem reaching the update server, however this explanation does not make sense since other computers on my network including another Vista machine can access the Internet and update properly.

First of all, you want to make sure your computer can reach the Internet and view other web pages. Open a web browser and go to a website listed in your favorites or type a website URL into the address bar of your browser and verify that you can load a web page. If you can, please skip down this page to the section entitled DNSChanger Trojan.

Troubleshooting a Dead Network Connection

If you cannot open a web page on your computer or reach the Internet, you'll want to follow this outline to narrow the problem and get yourself back online. This information is the same basic info that I recommend for the dreaded Limited or No Connectivity issues as well. Check the following issues.

1) Your Network or DSL router may have bad or missing information. Powercycle your router and/or rebuild the configuration in your router.

2) Double-check your cabling to the computer. Make sure you have the correct type of cabling, straight-through CAT 5 or possibly a crossover cable. Try another cable or test the cable to make sure its working properly.

3) Check your network card to make sure its configured correctly and working properly. Many times setting the network card to 10Mbps/Full Duplex will solve this issue. To do this, open Control Panel, System, Device Manager. Go to the properties of the Network card, click on the Advanced tab and find the Link Speed and Duplex section. Change it from Auto Detect to 10Mbps/Full Duplex.

4) Check and test your firewall. Your firewall, especially if its a software firewall like Zone Alarm, Black Ice, Norton Firewall or something else could be blocking the connection. Disable your firewall and test the connection. You may have to resolve the problem by even uninstalling and reinstalling the firewall.

5) Check your IP address assignments and workgroup settings in the computer for accuracy. Statically assign IPs to the computers in your network.

6) Reset your TCP/IP stack by downloading and running WinsockXPFix.exe a Visual Basic program designed to fix corrupted TCP/IP issues, host file problems and a variety of other connectivity issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please proceed. On many sites on the web, there was a solution posted that referenced a registry entry located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate\AU. From my investigation this registry entry generally does not exist and therefore does not fix the problem. However, in a few cases, the system has been infected with the DNSChanger trojan.

DNSChanger Trojan

One of the most common problems associated with Windows Vista Update Error 80244019 is the DNSChanger Trojan. You'll recognize this trojan by checking the DNS server assignments on the computer that does not update. Do this by following these steps.

1) In Windows Vista, click on the Windows orb

2) Click in the Search box and type CMD and press Enter

3) At the command prompt, type IPCONFIG /ALL and press Enter

4) You should be presented with the bunch of information, find the section for your Internet connection. It may be entitled Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection or something similar.

5) Find the DNS Server section and double-check the numbers. Usually the DNS is a local IP like 192.168.0.1 or it could be a statically assigned IP from your ISP. If the DNS numbers are remotely similar to the following IPs then you have the DNSChanger trojan. These IPs originate in Europe.

85.255.113.122
85.255.112.83
85.255.116.148
85.255.112.223

6) Type Exit at the command prompt to close it

Easiest Way to Remove the DNSChanger Trojan

If the DNSChanger trojan is on your computer chances are you may be infected with more viruses or trojans. One of my favorite programs for finding these problems is MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. Its a relatively new anti-spyware type program but definitely one of the best. In fact the author created the removal tool for the about:Blank hijacker a few years ago.

Download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware by clicking on the link below. Save the file to your desktop. When the download completes, double-click on the file and install it. Then run an update and start a full scan of your computer.

If you use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to scan your computer, you'll find information in the log file similar to the following if the DNS Changer trojan is found.

After removing the infections and rebooting your computer, go back to Windows Updates and try to download your updates. Everything should work now.
For a lot of people, this means that the computer is either going to be replaced, or taken into a shop to be repaired. Well, I'm writing this to give you another option! Fix-it-yourself to save money and a lot of time. Most computer repair places are so packed with computers to fix, that they will take about a week to get to yours. Then they will charge close to Rm50-RM100 to fix it!=.=

For starters, I'll explain why your computer has gotten the Blue Screen. There are several reasons it could have shown itself, the most common is the installation of a driver or other program onto the computer. Several times when Windows updates itself automatically it will download certain drivers, and that could be the culprit (I never did like windows). Or say you just installed a camera or printer, the drivers on the disc that came with it might have done it. So if you have downloaded some piece of information that you know of, then either uninstall it, or do a system restore (I'll explain system restore in a later article). After that, if you still receive the Blue Screen, then the drivers might have corrupted the operating system itself. That means one of two things. We either have to 'repair' windows, or completely reinstall it. No matter which one, you should back up your information at this time. Put any pictures or programs or any other information you want to keep onto a disc, or flash drive, or some other storage device.

To repair windows, grab your Operating System disc that came with your computer (if you don't have one, you can borrow someone else's, or might have to purchase one, and otherwise you cannot proceed and have to take it to a shop). Make sure the disc is the same type of Operating System
(OS) as the one on your computer. So if you are running XP Home, then use an XP Home disc, and if you're using XP Pro, use an XP Pro disc. You can find out which OS you have by the sticker on your computer tower (the thing you put your disc into). It will tell you which OS and have a 'product key' on there. If you don't have that product key, you'll have to find it (might be on the booklet that came with your computer). If you can't find it anywhere, you might have to get a new OS, or just not proceed any further with this repair. The product key has to be unique, it cannot be the same key as a friend is using, or duplicated anywhere else.

Once you have all the materials, you are ready to repair your windows. Pop the disc in, and restart the computer. When it asks you to press any key to boot from CD, then push any key. If that message never shows up it means your computer is not set to boot from CD first. To correct this you have to go into your computer's Bios and make a few changes. I won't cover the Bios in this article though because if anything is changed to the wrong thing, or any information goes missing, you could 'brick' your machine. Brick of course means that your computer becomes a paper weight. If it will not boot from the disc then you might want to have someone else correct the Bios to allow you to continue.

If you have made it into the disc part then so far things are going great. First you'll see a blue screen with words traveling pretty fast at the bottom. After a minute or less it should ask you if you want to Repair, Continue, or Quit. Hit Enter to Continue and it will go to the agreement document (you see them everywhere and probably never read it, I know I don't). Hit F8 on your keyboard to pass it when ready. This next page will ask you if you want to Install, Repair, Delete Partition, or Quit. Inside the box there should be one or more partitions. Most likely the partition we want is the largest one, but if you have several, you might not want to continue without getting a consult from the person who created more than one partition. Partition is just a section of the computer's memory that the Windows sits on. If you have two, and one says less than 10 KB or Bytes, then you can ignore that one. Your OS will be on the largest one and you can use the keys on your keyboard to move to that one, and push R for repair.

If you have the partition their but the option for Repair never shows up, then you've either got the wrong disc in (put in correct disc and restart computer), or the version of Windows your using can not be repaired, due to either an illegal copy, or it just does not offer the option. You cannot continue from here, and might have to reinstall the Operating System, which I will not discuss in this article.

If you were able to repair then the disc starts loading information onto your computer to replace several different files with fresh new copies. It looks like it's going thru the process of reinstalling the OS, but don't worry, it's not. After several minutes, the computer will shut
itself down, then restart and use those new files it has put on your computer. After several more minutes, it will ask you for the Windows Product Key. That sticker on your computer tower or on your packet comes into play. Type that key in, and answer a few questions, like your area code. Then it will work with a few more files then start up Windows like normal again. It will go through the entire start up process as if you were installing a fresh copy of Windows, meaning it will ask you to type in a user name and ask for you to register with Microsoft. Choose what you want your user name to be, and skip the registration, and it will take you back to your old familiar wallpaper with all of you buttons and icons.

Now that the repair is finished, it is time to see if it worked. Keep working on your computer like normal, and see if the Blue Screen pops up again. If it did, then either the repair didn't work, or there is something physically wrong with your computer. Usually when you're Ram goes out it will cause the Blue Screen due to the fact that Windows will try to write information to that part of the computer but doesn't stick. So when Windows wants to grab that information back, it's not there, and the OS is not very smart, so it Blue Screens.

If you still get the BS (Blue Screen), then you have two choices. One is to reinstall the entire OS, Second is to take your machine in to have the hardware tested. If you reinstall the OS you'll lose all the information on there, such as pictures, programs, videos, etc... And if you still have the blue screen, then you know beyond a doubt that the problem is hardware related. If you reinstall the OS and it works then great! You've fixed your machine! If you choose the second option first and have it tested at a shop, or a personal PC Tech, and he finds nothing wrong, you'll have to reinstall the OS to correct the issue losing all of your information. If you choose to have a tech look at your machine and he repairs the hardware problem, then you haven't lost any information, and only an hour of two of your time, but your computer is working again. The decision is up to you.

A few notes from me: I've been working with computers for some time now, and it is very rare that a Windows Repair does not get rid of the Blue Screen. There is no real way to prevent your computer of getting the Blue Screen, so worrying about it is a large waste of time. If you are running Win XP Home, then make sure you update to Service Pack 2 (SP2) over the internet, because Service Pack 1 (SP1) is highly unstable, and very unsafe. To prevent other errors on your machine, always have a 'Firewall' running. Windows comes built in with its own firewall, and can be used temporarily, but more times than not, lets its owners down and doesn't fulfill its duties.

If any of u doesnt know what 'phishing' is, google it.

Lets start:

1. Download Super Phiser HERE

3. In "Super Phisher" folder, open "Super Phisher" file to get something like:

4. Now, in "URL of login page", enter http://www.friendster.com. This is the site you wanna hack.

5. Keep "Name of log file" and "Name of php file" as it is. No need to change.

6. In field of "Site redirect to", enter http://www.friendster.com/login.php, so that victim is redirected to original friendster site when he enters his password with our Friendster phisher.

7. Click on "Build Phisher" and you will get Friendster phisher created in "Output" folder in current directory.

8. Upload all the phisher file in "Output" folder to a webhost say t35.com.

9. Now, simply send this Friendster phisher to victim and ask him to login to his account using our Friendster phisher. Once he logins to his account using our Friendster phisher, his password will be saved in "logs_74766.txt" which will be newly created at your webhost. Then, you can see password in this .txt file and hack Friendster account password. ENJOY

Mobile computing has got better with lighter components, better chips and faster processors. But the Achilles heel of a laptop has remained its battery. So here are we are going to look at ways to increase laptop battery life.

Modern graphic intensive operating systems and resource hungry applications are cutting down the life of your laptop’s battery every day. The average battery life per continuous use still stands at a maximum of three to four hours. So, a fast depleting battery could very swiftly put the crutches on your ‘mobile’ road trip.
Falling just short of carrying an extra pack of batteries in the back-pack, are several ways to keep the juice flowing through the batteries.

1. Ship shape with a defrag

Regular defragmentation helps to arrange data more efficiently thus making the hard drive work less to access the data. The quicker the moving hard drive works lesser is the load placed on the battery. Thus, your batter can last longer. The effect is minimal, but this efficiency goes hand in glove with hard drive maintenance.

2. Kill the resource gobblers

End the background processes that are not vital. Monitor the resource usage through a ‘Ctrl-Alt-Del’ which brings up the Windows Task Manager (in Windows). If you’re not on the internet, it is safe to shut down the immediate non-essential programs running in the taskbar like the antivirus and the firewall. Weed out unnecessary programs running as start-ups by launching the System Configuration Utility from Run – Msconfig – Tab: Startup. Uncheck the programs which you don’t want to launch and reboot the computer once.

3. Pause the scheduled tasks

It may be a defrag or a virus scan, but make sure it is scheduled for a time when you are near a power outlet. If not then nix them for the moment.

4. Unplug external devices

USB devices are the biggest drainers of battery power. Unplug all external devices like an external mouse, PC cards, Wi-Fi, external speakers, Bluetooth and even an attached iPod.

5. Empty the CD/DVD Drives

Even if you don’t intend to use it, don’t leave any CD/DVDs as leftovers in the drives. A spinning drive sucks battery power like a sponge.

6. Go local

Desist using the DVD/external drives while running on batteries. Shift the content to the hard drive or run using (free) virtual drives like Pismo File Mount or even Microsoft’s Virtual CD ROM Control Panel.

7. Lower the lights

The LCD screen of a laptop is another huge power sink. Calibrate the brightness to the lowest level you can tolerate using the Function key toggles or using the Display Settings applet in the Control Panel.

8. Kill the sounds

Mute the speakers and try avoiding the use of multimedia software to maximize the battery life. Installed sound schemes also drain a battery perceptibly.

9. Rid the screensaver

To maximize battery life by a little, switch off the screensaver.

10. Visit Power Options

Get familiar with power management through the ‘Power Options’ applet in the Control Panel. Both XP and Vista come with advanced power management features which shut off components like the monitor and/or the hard drive after specified intervals. This again depends on the chosen ‘Power Schemes’ (for XP) in the same applet. For instance in XP, ‘Max Battery’ under Power Schemes can be selected for maximum battery optimization.

Similar settings can be found under ‘Mobile PC’ in the Control Panel of Vista.

11. Turn off the looks

Today’s OS’s like Windows Vista come with features like ‘Aero Glass’ which are resource guzzlers. One can turn it off and go for the ‘Classic’ appearance which consumes less power. In Vista, click on Desktop – Preferences – View Colour – Appearance – Classic Appearance and Windows Basic graphical interface. In XP it’s – Display Properties – Theme – Windows Classic.
Linux and even Macintosh are better optimized for longer battery life.

12. Hibernate is better than Sleep

In the Stand By mode (or sleep mode), the computer turns of the hard drive and the display but memory remains active while the CPU slows down. This draws on the battery. In contrast, hibernation mode is better because the computer saves the current state and shuts itself down completely thus saving power.

13. Get the most…work on the least

Working on too many programs while on the battery is a sure fire power drainer. Keep use of graphic intensive applications to a minimum. Working on a spreadsheet consumes much less than playing your favourite game. To increase the life of the battery open just one or two programs concurrently.

14. Ram in more RAM

Adequate RAM reduces the load on Virtual memory which by default resides on the hard drive. Though every extra bit of RAM uses up more power, it increases overall savings by short cutting access to the power hungry hard drive.

15. Keep it clean

A laptop with blocked air vents will generate more heat thus reducing the life of the battery. Clean the air vents regularly to keep operating temperatures low. Allow for open space around the vents for air to circulate freely. Keep the area around the laptop clean to avoid entry of dust.

16. Temperature is a silent killer

Undue heat kills off a battery slowly but surely. Avoid leaving the laptop under direct sunlight or inside a closed car.

17. Avoid the memory effect

A problem more for the older Ni-MH batteries than for Li-Ion batteries on which most modern laptops run. Memory effect relates to the loss of battery charge when they are repeatedly recharged after being only partially discharged. It can be prevented by discharging the battery fully and then completely recharging it. Li-Ion batteries on the other hand have no problems with partial discharges and re-charges and complete discharge is never recommended for this type.

18. Update software and drivers

This sounds a bit incongruous but then newer drivers and software are often designed to be more efficient (and hopefully less resource hungry).

19. Use the right adapter

Ensure that the adapter you use to charge the laptop battery is an original one or one with the correct specifications. A mismatch in the wattage could cause an overload thus damaging the laptop and the battery.

20. Pack it up

If you don’t plan to use the laptop on batteries for quite some time, ensure that the charge is nearly 40 percent – remove the batteries and store it in a cool place.
A typical lithium ion battery has an overall average life of 2-3 years. With some care and caution, its mortality can be delayed.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)
Want to caught them?

Or do u want to download their avatar to be saved in ur disk?

Here's the simplest way to know/view certain users are invisible (without any downloads)

Go to ur browser and type or paste this address http://detectinvisible.com/ or just click here

There's an empty space for u to fill in the user's ID. ( to get user's ID, click on their names in ur YahooMessenger and on top of it, the username is visible.or simply type in their yahoo address xxxxx@yahoo.com without @yahoo.com)

Then, click GO. Voila!! The user's status will shown as Invisible, Online, Offline. Easy.

I do this for fun only, some people being invisible maybe due to their needs of privacy. So, respect their privacy.lolx.Ai.Zuhairhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01263025951270976921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4046369466288746533.post-13211813157137970092009-12-23T11:04:00.000-08:002009-12-23T11:04:25.820-08:00Hijack This [Regularly Updated]If persistent spyware is bogging down your computer, you might need HijackThis. The tiny program examines vulnerable or suspect parts of your system, such as browser helper objects and certain types of Registry keys. Pressing the Scan button generates a log of dozens of items, most of which are just customizations. Don't check off an item and hit the Fix Checked button unless you're sure it's malware. Clicking Info on Selected Item tells you why the entry was flagged as suspicious, but not whether it's actually malware.

Suffice to say, whenever u suspected or confirmed that ur system is being bugged by spyware, virus and all that, HijackThis is a tool to scan and identify which area are being bugged and need to be repaired. Caution- If u doesnt know exactly what are u dealing with, send the log to me so I can assist u on how to diagnose ur problem and solve it. Say NO to formatting ur system. Dont risk of losing valuable files.
